How haptic feedback works

What is force feedback?

As you move a Haply device, software or a robot responds with force in real time — virtual objects, tools, and remote systems feel physical.

SIM / FORCE RENDERING What you see is what you feel — the left simulation is rendered as force through the Inverse3 on the right.

    A Haply device tracks your hand through 3D space at sub-millimetre resolution.

  2. Software responds

    A simulation, physics engine, or robot system computes the interaction force in real time.

  3. You feel it

    The device pushes back with resistance, texture, pressure, and contact — 4,000 times a second.

Standard input devices
